The Consortium for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching with Technology (COATT) was started in 1999 with the help of United States Senator Carl Levin. At that time, we had two charges: To support and recognize outstanding uses of technology in the K-12 classroom and to provide a forum for post-secondary faculty and staff to share issues of common interest.
In the decade which has passed, COATT has sponsored professional development activities, created a portfolio process, hosted live and video conferences, and sparked conversations with perspectives from throughout the state of Michigan.
